About

In 1998 AC Architects designed and project managed the comprehensive refurbishment of the Fellows Drawing Room, negotiating the scheme through listed building consent, and setting precedents for the application of listed building legislation to modern listed buildings. The work involved arranging for the signature fairfaced brickwork walls and bush hammered concrete ceilings to be specialist steam cleaned; sourcing hand made glass panels to provide subtle obscured glazing and designing a glazed extension. The project included a new lighting scheme, replacement furniture and AC Architects designed furniture to suit the room and its new décor.

In 2000 AC Architects carried out the refurbishment of the suited Fellows Dining Room, installing a new lighting scheme and subtle acoustic insulation which have significantly increased the popularity and usability of the room.
