Office Refurbishment

The aim for these offices in Cambridge was to maximize the open plan office space on a tight urban site. This was achieved by extending out into the existing courtyard space and altering the existing building. Care was taken in positioning the extension to provide maximum impact without dramatically affecting the current workings of the courtyard. The proposed extension accommodates all the ancillary spaces, freeing up the remainder of the building for office space, and creates a new entrance on the courtyard. New trees were all proposed to provide a natural screen and shade.
